Fair Use Policy

A short, plain-English summary of how the free Artwork Analyzer should and shouldn't be used.

What this tool is

The Artwork Analyzer is a free, no-signup utility that suggests metadata for a single artwork image — title ideas, a description, tags, dominant colors, a museum-style wall label, and SEO copy. It is provided as a goodwill tool for artists, collectors, and gallery professionals to evaluate whether automated cataloging fits their workflow.

Acceptable use

Output is suggestive, not authoritative

Generated descriptions are best-guesses based on visual cues. Style, period, medium, and provenance attributions in particular are frequently wrong and should be reviewed by a knowledgeable human before being used in a professional context.

What we keep

To improve the product and run basic abuse prevention, we retain on the server:

The original full-resolution upload is deleted from disk as soon as analysis completes (or fails permanently). We do not retain the raw image.

What we don't do

Takedown and questions

If you believe an image was uploaded by someone other than the rights holder, or you have questions about a stored thumbnail, email hello@arteraq.com with the analysis token (visible in the result page URL) and a short description. We honor good-faith takedown requests promptly.

Changes

This policy may evolve as the tool does. Substantive changes will be announced on the Analyzer page itself.
